First order - how about that!!!

Technically it was the second - came in later but left earlier than the first!

I was so bloody proud of this cake, but I must say - I WAS NERVOUS!

It's one thing when you bake for your family or friends, there is always a bit of obligation to like what you put in front of them cos it's free and they care.

But when something is ordered by someone you don't know and has personal request for someone they love, AND they're paying you... pressure!

I was edge all night once I baked it, and time felt slow all day until it was collected. Then, it was out in the world, any maybe I'd never know if it was any good...

Then, a few days later, a lovely review appeared on the CSC Facebook page:

5 stars: Too delicious for words to describe! Christie was amazing, I came to her with a vague “Hey, I need a cheesecake, hubby loves marble, nuts, chocolate & coffee” and she made this masterpiece! Highly recommended if you’re sick of cheesecake shop recipes & after something one of a kind. Thanks Christie!

Oh, I had a little sob over my laptop when I saw it!

I am so encouraged to keep on going and challenging myself. I get self-conscious as an amateur baker, but I have learned very quickly that belief is everything. So, sometimes things won't work, but like - what if they do?

Chocolate marble baked cheesecake (vanilla and milk chocolate espresso swirl) with white and milk chocolate espresso ganache, marble chocolate and scorched almost with gold acrylic topper.
