I don't have kids myself yet, nor do I have many around in my direct family to make cakes for, so I was really happy to get a few kids cake requests for this weekend just been and two more this next weekend.
As I am making a second Spider-Man cake this weekend, I wanted to highlight this amazing Moana ocean cake.
This cake was fully gluten free with the exception of the log biscuits, and features 3 layers of gluten free white chocolate cake with white chocolate ganache, mutli-blue buttercream in a wave texture with some gorgeous pearl clusters hidden on the waves, scotch finger biscuit sand, multi-chocolate shells, candy coated chocolate pearls, sugar meringue frangipani flowers, and chocolate wafer log biscuits.
This cake was surprisingly easy for the level of effect that was gained, and I can just imaginf how amazing it will look when the customer puts the toppers on. And, compared to the Spider-Man cake, this one was a dream!
Time to take the learnings from the spidey cake just done into the cakes this weekend - can't wait!
